Why are species critical to the survival of an ecosystem?

Plants: They are needed to produce oxgen, and feed the herbavores. Prey: They feed on plants, and feed the predators. Predators: To eat the prey, and get eaten by greator predators You see, everything is needed to have a stable ecosystem. Now you must put into consideration, that if a lower part of the chain is smaller than the larger part, then the ecosystem would fail. You need more plants than herbavores, you need more prey for predators. It is a large cycle.

Does wetland have a high biodiversity?

Biodiversity includes all living things. The definition of biodiverity is all living species and ecosystems and the ecological processes in which they go through. There are 3 types of biological diversity. Ecosystem diversity, community diversity and genetic diversity. Ecosystem diversity is diversity between ecosystems (e.g. Bogs, forests and oceans). Community diversity is diversity within ecosystems. Many species exist in a certain ecosystem that makes it a community. All species have adaptations suitable foe their environment (e.g. Closer to the equator = more variation. And genetic diversity is having lots of different individuals in a species. This protects species from environmental adaptations.

What is An organism's particular role in an ecosystem or how it makes its living?

niche

What makes the lily pad and cactus plant's ecosystem suitable for its survival?

The presence of sunlight and water make the ecosystem suitable for survival.

How does biodiversity contribute to ecological balance?

biodiversity makes relations and interaction in the ecosystem between a species and a variety of species and if we lose one species the relations will not be disturbed for example the relation between predators and preys if predator has only one prey it may lead to finish it but if it has many variety of preys the relation will not be disturbed as the predator depends on different preys

In an ecosystem a large number of species are dependent on one particular species of bird?

In an ecosystem when a large number of species are dependent on one particular species of bird this makes the bird a keystone species. This bird has a disproportionate effect on the surround environment because so many others are dependent on it.

What makes an ecosystem?

An ecosystem is made of many species, which live in a community, and they live in a population.

How does high biodiversity affect an ecosystem?

it makes the ecosystem more stable

What makes an ecosystem stable?

Having a diversity of species and having resistance towards change

Do you believe that every species is connected to one another?

Every species is connected to one another and they have varied relationships. The interconnectivity of the species is what makes the ecosystem functional.

What is the name of the luxuriant ecosystem which makes up part of the home of half the world's animal and plant species?

Rainforest

What are facts about niches?

In ecology, a niche is a term describing the relational position of species or population in an ecosystem. It is how an organism makes a living.

What makes it possible for a new species to increase in an ecosystem?

The nutrients that it needs like food water sun whatever it need to survive.

What is the relationship between a species and a population?

A population is a group of the actual species so as if there is a population of wallabies in Queensland and New South Wales

Why ecosystem is a system?

Its a system because everything works together like a system which makes the ecosystem

How can a relationship between populations in an ecosystem and the removal or addition of populations can affect the other populations?

By removing population it makes the ecosystem bad and by adding to the population it makes the ecosystem better
