That is called a "physical map"
or a topographic map
Topography
In the phrase 'area of a shape', both area and shape are nouns. In your mind, add 'the', it helps to show that they are nouns: 'the area of the shape'.
Perimeter Measures the outside of the shape Area Area measures the inside of the shape Both Measurements that describe the shape
both include the outside of the shape
Fill in the blanks so that the shape makes a square and find the area of that. Then find the area of the shape you added. When you have both areas, subtract the greater from the smaller.
If both dimensions are doubled then the area is quadrupled. This is true of any geometric shape.
A bottle of ketchup shows neither volume not surface area. The only measurement on a bottle of ketchup is weight.
One thing that area and perimeter has in common is that they both measures some part of a shape
they are similar because you can use them both in any shape that is a polygon
Depends on the shape of the area. For a rectangle the answer is the width * the height, assuming both measurements are in inches.
You work both out from measurements of the shape and the relevant formulae.
It depends on the shape for which you want the area. The area of both cones and cylinders are completely defined by height and radius.
