Air is a mixture of gases. Not a chemical compound of them, just a mixture. Like you get
when you pour some water, some whiskey, some vinegar, and maybe some milk all into a
jar and stir it up.
-- Air is mostly Nitrogen ... more than 3/4 of it.
-- About 1/5 of it is Oxygen, which is the part we need.
-- Water vapor can be anywhere from none to about 4% of air ... that's what makes it dry or 'humid'.
-- About 1% of air is Argon.
Those few gases already account for 99% of the air, but there are also tiny amounts of
almost 20 other gases in it.
kinetic friction
It is called drag.
An insulator is a material that keeps heat or cold air in a concentrated area. This is sort of like the Green House Effect which is when warmth is held in a fixed referenced point.
It is Delphic it is a type of rare material
You cannot see air. Light passes through it.
Gore-Tex is a type of material which is similar to (rip-stop)nylon but only more water and air resistant.
Air is gas. there are 3 states of matter- solid, liquid and gas.

Metal is a type of material, but there are many other types. Wood, stone, cloth, water, or air are all types of nonmetallic materials.
No a material is something that you can hold and feel while air you can only feel it you can not really do anything physical with air.

Typically a type of ripstop nylon with a silicone backing is used, along with Nomex fabric at the base of the balloon.
