Flash lights in general use what is called a paraboloid of revolution. This is the three dimensional shape you get when you take a two dimensional parabola and rotate it about its axis. This shape causes light that is coming from a single point and is traveling in many directions to be redirected into a single direction. The light bulb is at what is called the focus of the mirror.

if i know the answer of this qusetion then why should i ask u ? stupid silly
The shape is concave, and is a silver-coated plastic in a torch.
A very big one

Parabolic
Convex usually, its used as a light source and not as a magnifier (or imager of any sort).
The type of light source that reflects light rays for a microscope is typically a mirror or a prism. These components are used to direct and focus light onto the specimen being viewed through the microscope.

Parabolic
The concave shape focuses the light into a narrow beam. If the mirror was convex, the light would be spread out - useless for searching into any distance.

On lighted vanity mirrors you want to use a vanity mirror light bulb. The bulb is very round where the light is produced and is not very long.
