The bongo antelope is a vegetarian, so ALL it eats is plants. Different types of plants that fit into their diet is twigs, berries, roots, leaves, grass and bark that was burnt during a lightening storm. The minerals in the burnt barks are very high in sodium, which the bongo needs immensely.
