An air conditioner in a RV uses refrigerant to chill air passing over an evaporator coil. The most common refrigerant is Freon and is easily found in most autopart stores.
It depends on year of manufacturer.

They use R410a eco friendly refrigerant gas now.
If it is the original refrigerant, it's R-12 (which is not longer available). If it was converted, it has R-134A. You can tell by the type of service port (the fitting for replacing the refrigerant). The service port for R-12 has threads, R 134A does not.
Depends on the ambient air temperature, humidity level, and type of refrigerant used.
sorry i dont have a clue
Disposable refrigerant containers are only used for virgin refrigerant.
No it does not, it has to do with the cooling system of the engine and the heater. Refrigerant is used in the Air Conditioner.
As of now, Air conditioner uses R22 refrigerant. In coming days ACs will come with refrigerants such as R410A, R407C etc.

Actually a refrigeration compressor is a component of an air conditioner. The refrigerant used in an air conditioner is called Freon. The compressor in an air conditioner evacuates the evaporator providing cooling to the air.
