Is there an adapter for a NEMA 14-30 plug and a NEMA 10-30 receptacle?

A NEMA 14-30 is a 3 pole 4 wire grounding receptacle rated at 30 amps 125/250 volts. A NEMA 10-30 is a 3 pole, 3 wire non grounding receptacle rated at 30 amps 125/250 volt.As the NEMA 10 device has no ground terminal on it, it is not a standard receptacle device so no adapter is made for it.

Is there a adapter for a nema 14-30 plug and a nema 14-50 receptacle?

No there are no adapters made for these types of installations. The reason there are no adapters is to provide a factor of safety. To plug a 30 amp plug into a 50 amp receptacle could allow 50 amps to be applied to a 30 amp rated cord. The 50 amp receptacle is more than likely being fed by a 40 amp breaker. Just change the plug cord to match the ampacity of the breaker ahead of the 50 amp receptacle. Or change the 50 amp receptacle and 40 amp breaker to a 30 amp breaker and use your existing cord plug.

How do I convert existing 3 wire 220 volt 20 amp breaker wire system to 110 volt from the box to the recepticle?

Assuming there is no neutral: 1) Turn off the breaker. 2) Disconnect 1 of the 2 hot wires from the breaker and connect it to the neutral bar (Recommend phase taping the wire white :) ) Remember which wire you used as the neutral, in a home you will most likely have a black and a red. I would keep the black hot, and phase tape the red wire white. If it's not long enough you can wire nut another white wire onto it to make it reach the neutral bar. 3) Leave the breaker OFF, at the receptacle, change it to a 120 volt receptacle. Take the wire you made the neutral, and connect it to the white screw on the 120 v receptacle, and take the black to the hot. Ground to the ground screw. Make sure you phase tape the red wire at the receptacle white as well. 4) turn the breaker on 5) test the receptacle with a meter or receptacle testing device for correct wiring.

How do you change a 4 prong to a 3 prong plug in on stove?

Go to any hardware or appliance store and purchase a 4 prong to 3 prong adapter. There is no adaptor available for this , you must change the cord set on the stove to a three wire cord. Remove the cover over the terminal housing. note the way the terminals are laid out and the way the wires are landed on them. Remove the wires from the terminals and the cord from the connector. Install the three wire cord and land the black and red wires back to the terminals. The white wire goes back to its' respective terminal, but you must also ground the stove chassis to this terminal with a bonding strap. This strap will go from the white wire terminal to where the green wire was landed in the four wire cord. This strap usually will come with a new stove, it is flat, made of copper with a hole in each end, if you do not have one, make it out of # 10 bare copper wire. Your stove manual may also explain how to do this.

How do you wire a 4 prong dryer cord to a 3 wire receptacle?

Using a red wire nut hook the 3 wires (of the same color) together with a short piece of wire of the same color. You now have 4 wires tied together. Now take the other end of the short wire and attach it to the outlet on the correct screw Do the same with the other 2 wires Please keep in mind to make sure the wire nut has securely fastened the wires. Loose connections cause heat which cause fire If you do not completely understand this answer please contact a qualified electrician
