Algenib or Gamma Pegasi is a blue subgiant star of specral clas B2 IV. It is approx. 325 ly from earth with a diameter about 4.5 times the sun, a mass of 7-10 solar masses and is 4000 times more luminous than our sun.
Angenib has almost nine times the mass of the Sun and close to five times the Sun's radius. It has used up al the hydrogen in its core and is just beginning to evolve away from the main sequence.
