The star Algenubi, or Epsilon Leonis, is a 162 million year old star, classified as a bright giant. The star is around four times the size of our sun.
The old flag that has the hammer and sickle in the center of a yellow star is the flag of the Soviet Union. The flag represented the communist ideology of the Soviet Union and was in use from 1923 to 1991.
no
its big but not that big as a old star. sun is a tape of star.
This depends on the mass of the original star. Smaller stars, like ours, will actually pretty much roast the inner solar system when swelling to a red giant, then collapse back and begin to fuse helium. After a few such cycles, working up the periodic table for fuels, it will no longer sustain itself and cool into a white dwarf, and eventually, a brown dwarf. Bigger stars will go through more red giant cycles, and eventually go nova, and implode into a neutron star which may or may not also be a quasar. The very biggest stars go right up until they reach the point where they're making iron. Then the star goes supernova, and forms neutron stars. Theoretically, the *very* largest continue to collapse, forming a black hole.
Anything from a couple of million years to over a trillion years, depending on the type of star. Our Sun will be a "star " for about 10 billion years - it's half way through it's life at the moment.
