The type of wave of a light wave is a transverse wave, like waves at the beach (surface waves). Transverse simply means that the motion of the wave is perpendicular to the direction of the wave. Simply put, if you're floating on the water, and a wave comes to you, the wave lifts you up, and then you drop back down as the wave passes. You are moving at a right angle to the direction that the wave is moving. This is why Surfing is difficult, because you're trying to get it to push you, rather than simply lift you.
Sound waves are longitudinal waves; they push particles in the same direction that they are moving in. Pressure waves from explosions are also longitudinal waves.
Light is an example of a electromagnetic wave.
Electromagnetic I.e. light
No light wave ever acts like a mirror.
Since light has these electrical and magnetic fields, it is a type of electromagnetic wave.
The type of medium and temperature of the medium it is traveling through, to name a couple. There are probably more. Also, the type of wave, as a sound wave is far slower than a light wave.
A sonic wave.
I would rather say that light IS a wave, not that it HAS a wave. It is a type of electromagnetic wave.
Light is a type of wave; it is not a type of speed.
The type of electromagnetic wave the borders visible light at the red end of its range is the Infrared light wave.

A laser generates an electromagnetic wave operating at light frequencies.
