There is no specific tampon that's best to use - it's down to personal preference.

As always it's best to avoid rayon tampons like Tampax, Playtex, and Kotex which pose higher risks of TSS and irritation, cotton tampons like Emerita, Cottons, and Natracare are the best option. Make sure to use lowest absorbency for your flow and time it t insert a fresh tampon before swimming.

Consider menstrual cups instead, cups are internal like tampons but safer and more hygienic so no health risks - this means unlike tampons cups can be worn for up to 12 hours and even with light flow without risk of infections or TSS - cups have nothing showing externally, don't absorb water, don't increase menstrual cramps as tampons can, and menstrual cups don't leak.

There is no specific type of tampon to wear while swimming.

As always it's best to use cotton tampons like Cottons or Natracare over commercial tampons like Tampax or playtex as cotton tampons are safer and more comfortable, also always use lowest absorbency for your flow. Time it so that you can insert a fresh tampon before getting in the pool, and change once you leave the pool. Also consider options like menstrual cups which are safer than tampons but also far more reliable so there is no risk of leaking while you're in the pool while on your period.

Avoid rayon tampons such as Tampax, Playtex, and Kotex as these pose higher health risks.Opt for cotton tampons such as Cottons, Natracare, and Emerita which are safer and hypo-allergenic.

Always use lowest absorbency for your flow, also opt for non-applicator - the sole purpose of applicators is to limit genital contact, they do not make insertion easier, non-applicator are easier as they're simpler and give much more control over insertion so it's easier to insert correctly first time.

There is no one tampon that is better than another for swimming.

It's always best to avoid rayon tampons like Tampax, Playtex, or Kotex as these pose higher health risks, instead opt for cotton tampons like Natracare, Cottons, or Maxim. Make sure you're using the correct absorbency for your flow and time it so you can insert a fresh tampon just before swimming.

If you swim regularly it would be a good idea to consider menstrual cups instead - these are internal but safer than tampons so unlike tampons they can be worn before your period so you're prepared and on light days, they can also be worn for up to 12 hours. Menstrual cups are more comfortable, don't increase cramps as tampons can, nothing external like a string, and don't leak like tampons.

I think tampax pearl is the best it holds and the braid on the string keeps from leaking so give it a try

I also just like Maxim Hygiene in general since they are organic.

Well my first time, I used tampax Pearl lites. They are usually the easiest to start with because they are small and the plastic applicator makes for comfortable insertion

After coming out of the water will you begin to bleed even with a tampon in?

As long as you're using the tampon correctly you shouldn't leak when you come out of the water, although water can saturate the tampon so may result in leaking. It's best to use options like menstrual cups, in general they are more convenient and safer than tampons, when it comes to swimming they are best as they don't increase cramps or leak like tampons can.

Can Playtex Sport tampons be used in water?

Any brand of tampon can be used in the water, you can also use menstrual cups, menstrual sponges, softcups, or diaphragms in the water too. Cups are a far safer option than tampons and menstrual cups are best for swimming as you can wear them even with light flow and they don't leak like tampons. If you are going to use tampons just make sure to use correct absorbency and time it so that you can insert a fresh tampon before swimming.

Do you were a pad in the water when you have a period?

You can not wear a pad while swimming mostly because you'll leak. The blood will drip into the water, which is humiliating, first of all, for women. Also, because the pad is surrounded and drowned in water, it could fall off. I'd just use a tampon while going swimming. It'll stop you from leaking, it'll just absorb the blood and you'll be fine. Good Luck

You have to go swimming but blood leaks out your tampon?

Use a menstrual cup - cups are internal like tampons but safer and more hygienic so have many advantages over tampons. Cups hold far more flow than even the most absorbent tampon and have light suction so don't leak like tampons, also cups are best for swimming as unlike tampons cups can be worn even with light flow, they don't absorb water, and nothing shows outside of your body.
