It could be going outside to enjoy a warm summer day, getting inside out of the rain, sadness over the death of a loved one, moving away from danger, breaking hard when you are about to hit another car, etc. Living things respond to feelings and energy around them. The more tense or upset you get, the more trapped and scared and powerless you feel, which can lead to the feeling that you need to protect yourself. If the mood is happy or playful, it leads to feelings of happiness and well-being.
