∙ 14y agoChildren played (with) marbles, dolls, wooden hoops (which they rolled along with a stick), Jacob's ladder, a version of Badminton called "battledore and shuttlecock," leather balls, and YES, they did go fishing with strings and sticks (and bait/hooks, of course). They also played a lot of tag and ran races and such.
