Not a great different from the uniforms worn today. Some details have changed; for example the King's crown was worn during the King's reign and the Queen's crown has been worn since the present Queen came to the throne. Officers peaked caps were generally blue-topped during the war, but are white topped these days. Coloured strips worn between officers' rank 'lace' indicated specialties, but only a few colours are still used to indicate doctors, dentists, etc.
The Royal New Zealand Navy was founded in 1941. They have a few different uniforms that sailors can wear depending on the situation. Their uniform is similar to the uniform worn by the British Royal Navy.
No. Brown. The navy and air force had blue uniforms.

Active duty Navy, Naval Reservists, and Navy Veterans (assuming they can fit into their old uniforms) are authorized to wear Navy uniforms. For Veterans though, their discharge must be under conditions other than dishonorable.
Yes, but not every ribbon is approved for wear on Army uniforms, IIRC.
White is traditionally the colour of Navies. Usually Navy dress uniforms. Most navies around the world have a white hat as part of the dress uniforms. In America because of the close tie between the Marine Corps and Navy the Marines also wear a white hat and sometimes white pants with their dress uniform.
Uniforms are more timesaving or more efficient because I think most of us in St. Paschal Baylon used to take 30 or more minutes to decide what you were going to wear for school, back in the day when we did not have uniforms. Uniforms are not time consuming because you already know what to wear navy blue pants or navy blue shirts and, white shirts.
Hessians wore navy blue uniforms with red collars and cuffs.
Yes. The Working, Service and Dinner Dress White uniforms are supposed to have ribbons on them.
Lady GaGa wore uniforms and navy blue sweaters
Pretty much standard Navy working uniforms. Dress uniforms are only worn on special occasions when off the ship. Overalls are common as well, particularly for engineers.
Americans wore Tan uniforms and green uniforms
