The Warburton River is fed by the large Diamantina and Georgina Rivers, while Cooper Creek is also a significant river. In addition, the much smaller Neales River and Macumba River also flow into Lake Eyre. In a most unusual flood occurrence in 2010, the Finke and Todd Rivers in the Northern Territory also contributed to the waters flowing into Lake Eyre.
