If you swim due west from Hamilton, you will come ashore near the end of US

Hwy 21, on Pritchard's Island in South Carolina's Old Island Heritage Preserve.

But in order to do that, you'll have to swim a little over 900 miles, and when

you hit Pritchard's Island, you'll be in a tidal marsh that's less than 5-ft above

sea level and probably crawling with all kinds of nasty critters. Trust me ...

you're much better off in Bermuda.
