Your only chance at any value is if the bootleg is of music that really wasn't broadly released here. (Then it is really less of a bootleg than an underground). But just a bad pressing, with badly copied alblum graphics and such, even of a desired alblum...would be worth little. (Modern methods of reproducing from the original would probably result in a better copy).

Typically albums released in Japan contain a few extra tracks, typically B-sides from various singles.
