Bela Lugosi played a vampire in "Plan 9 from Outer Space" (1959). But he died before filming could be completed. His chiropractor was hired to replace him even though he was much taller than Bela. Scenes with the vampire holding his cape in front of his face feature the replacement. As a side note, "Plan 9 from Outer Space" is considered to be one of the worst films ever made.
