As in the beginning the Word of God made all things by thought - see Chapters One of Genesis and The Gospel According to Saint John - Jesus Christ did as to the belief of the centurion and spoke the word in thought, and in changing the servant's disease into health, provided an illustration of the Messiah ordained in the Holy Scriptures.
After the paralytic friends lowered him on a cot through the roof, upon seeing their faith, Jesus healed the paralytic. As a result, the people "glorified God." (Mark 2:1-4, 11, 12)
