You can't have Windows Movie Maker version 2.6 on Xp operating systems. Windows Xp can only load the 2.1 version of the program. Sorry.
You would have to format the hard-drive, and do a fresh install of Windows XP. You would also need to re-install all of your software - some of which may not work with XP (since XP is an old version of Windows)
