If you need to delete a usb device from the computer, make sure the device is disconnected, then right click on my computer, click on the hardware tab, then open the device manager. this will show all the devices connected to your computer, make sure it is showing all installed devices, not just what is connected. you can change this option under the view menu. then look for the device, right click it, and select uninstall or delete, or whatever you need to do.

Can USB 1.1 devices be used with Windows Vista?

Yes. Most USB keyboards and mice are technically USB 1.1 devices, even if they are new. Keyboards and mice simply do not need the amount of bandwidth provided by USB 2.0. So Windows Vista has to be capable of supporting USB 1.1 devices, or at least USB 1.1 speed (finding the drivers for the device is another story) in order to use USB keyboards and mice.

A usb cable is not a device. A USB drive would be a Storage Device and still not be an Input or Output device. A USB keyboard would be an input device and a USB printer would be an output device.
