If you need to delete a usb device from the computer, make sure the device is disconnected, then right click on my computer, click on the hardware tab, then open the device manager. this will show all the devices connected to your computer, make sure it is showing all installed devices, not just what is connected. you can change this option under the view menu. then look for the device, right click it, and select uninstall or delete, or whatever you need to do.
Use the device manager. Right-click on the device in the device manager that you wish to uninstall, and select "Uninstall". To get to the device manager (the quick way), right-click on "My Computer", and go to Manage, then click on Device Manager.
None just unplug the device
For devices that won't appear in Device Manager- such as scanner, printer, and some USB or FireWire devices- Use the Utility program that came bundled with the device to check for errors. (You should find the program on the Start, all programs menu.)
You can use Device Manager for the hardware and Add/Remove programs for the software.
your drivers may be corrupted or outdated for the usb device. you need to download the current versions from the website.
Yes. Any hard drive, flash drive, or other external storage device that conforms to the USB Mass Storage device standard will work on Windows Vista.
USB drive and DVD ROM
Yes. Most USB keyboards and mice are technically USB 1.1 devices, even if they are new. Keyboards and mice simply do not need the amount of bandwidth provided by USB 2.0. So Windows Vista has to be capable of supporting USB 1.1 devices, or at least USB 1.1 speed (finding the drivers for the device is another story) in order to use USB keyboards and mice.
i need updates for thrustmastre usb wifi for vista

A USB stick will not do anything towards speeding up your computer or Vista.
A usb cable is not a device. A USB drive would be a Storage Device and still not be an Input or Output device. A USB keyboard would be an input device and a USB printer would be an output device.
