Russia's withdrawal from the war.
The October or Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 is the event that ultimately led to the Russian withdrawal from World War 1. The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk in 1918 was the formal end to Russia's involvement.
It was because they faced many deadly things. They were losing too many soldires and the people of Russia werent happy with that. Russia was being bombed and they didnt want to have other people dying so that took them selves out of the war.
The assassination of Austrian Archduke Ferdinand was the immediate cause of World War I. He was killed by a Serbian terrorist, which caused Austria to declare war on Serbia. Serbia was allied with Russia, who intervened, causing Germany to declare war on Russia, which caused France to declare war on Germany.
There wasn't really a consequence. They saved themselves from losing more men and resource's. But, Stalin came into power and there was a famine and disaster in Russia.
Happened as a result of the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917.
MY TEACHER TOLD ME THAT DURING WW1 RUSSIA WAS STARVING THEY WERE LOSING MONEY ALSO WENT INTO A BIG DEPRESSION WICH MADE THEM DROP OUT THE WAR
No, Russia did not drop out of World War I because it was conquered and occupied by Germany. Instead, Russia exited the war following the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917, which led to the signing of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk in March 1918. This treaty formalized Russia's withdrawal from the conflict, allowing Germany to focus its efforts on the Western Front. The country's withdrawal was primarily due to internal political upheaval rather than outright military conquest by Germany.
The scales tipped in favor of the Central Powers when a surge of Germans who had been fighting in Russia and were high in morale over their victory arrived at the Western Front.
The most immediate effect, in March, 1918 was the withdrawal of Russia from the war, ending the Eastern Front and freeing up some 50 German divisions for the Western Front. These German reinforcements to the west could have tipped the balance in favor of the Central Powers had the United States by 1918 not been contributing 10,000 fresh troops a day to the war.
