As a young man, Abraham Lincoln did not belong to any church, or attend church. He was a constant skeptic, and questioned organized religion, and scripture (Christian). He read The Bible, constantly, and had studied it in depth; in fact, it was his favorite book.

He valued prayer and his speeches, and comments, were indicative of a very religious or at least spiritual man.

After the death of his second son, Eddie, he supposedly admitted to the Reverend who presided over Eddie's funeral that he had finally come to accept and was now convinced of the truth of the Christian religion.

He belonged to no church but attended a Presbyterian church along with his wife. He seemed to be a Christian.
