No one knows because we don't know when she died -- just when she disappeared on July 2nd, 1937.The last words of Amelia Earhart on July 2nd, 1937, at 8:42 (local time) by radio were: "We are running on line."This is from the Chief Radioman Leo Bellarts on the USCGC Itasca at Howland Island. Later in an interview he said: "Her voice was loud and clear; sounded frantic on her last transmission. Then it cut off."In interview, Don Fowble, the engineer that built her airplane, said: "The battery cage was up in the belly of the plane. It wasn’t waterproof, so would short out everything if the plane went into the water – especially the sea."There were over 180 messages within a week after her disappearance, supposedly attributed to Earhart. None could have come from her radio.

Some or many of these messages could have certainly come from her aircraft if she had landed on an un-named island rather than crash into the sea. If this happened she would have sent radio messages that were faintly received until her battery finally died.

" Itasca, we must be on you, but can't see you. Gas is running low. Been unable to reach you by radio. Flying at 1,000 feet."

Then a while later she said the following...

" To Itasca, we are on the line. 157337. Will repeat message." ( Then the radio cut off)

In the upcoming movie Amelia did Amelia Earharts Chronic Sinusitus act up when she was doing an emergency landing on her last flight?

Chronic sinusitis is no life-threatening problem, it"s a bad cold type of thing, a chronic ( over time) irritation of the sinuses- the nasal passages. as far as is known Amelia did not have any serious health problems- this would have been exposed early on in any investigation of the lost flight. I am not aware of any aircraft- or automobile for that matter directly caused by a sneeze!
