Anne Frank loved her father the most in her family. She did not like her mother neither her sister- Margot. Anne felt that her mother was partial towards Margot and always favoured Margot. Mrs. Frank used to call Anne 'a useless child' and did not approve of any of her ideas, thoughts, behaviour, attitude etc. and was continuously finding flaws in Anne. Anne therefore was never wiling to say her prayers with her mother or follow the rules her mother told her. There was not a strong or good/healthy relationship between Mrs. Frank and Anne Frank.
Anne Frank had a strained relationship with her mother Edith Frank. She found her mother to be distant, not understanding her as well as her father did. Anne often felt that her mother lacked the emotional support and connection she needed, leading to tension between them.
Anne felt her mother had no skill whatsoever at being a mother, which was actually a grave injustice to Edith Frank, who was an excellent mother, but with a very different personality her younger daughter could not relate to. Late in her diary, Anne does begin to come to a more mature and fair view of her mother, but then those in the annex were betrayed. According to eyewitness testimony of several women who knew the Franks in Auschwitz, in the camps, Mrs. Frank and her two daughters were "inseparable", "always together", etc.
she does not like her mother because anne brought her boyfriend home one day and her mother, crazy cougar that she was, began to hit on him. To anne's dismay, on the return from a weekend grocery run, she walked into the pair having intense sexual relations.
Usually when your a teenager, you don't really get along with your parents, especially if your a girl, then it's with your mother. I don't know why that is though.
