9 - Op 125
Thousands.
Beethovens 9th and last symphony is called Choral-symphony. I suppose it is because the 4th movement devellops the hymn "Freude schöner Götterfunken"
One cannot play this symphonic piece on just one instrument. There are many many parts that make up the whole piece.
Beethovens 9th, second movement
i'm no expert but the fith symphony is quite political and its the first symphony to weave together the four movements in a clear and coherent manner. having said that i dont believe this symphony is the turning point in Beethovens music, himself or the classical repotoir. i believe it started earlier. but i suppose psychologically it is an early advancement to the 9th symphony and thereafter the birth of the Romantic period. the fith symphony provides the blurring lines and window from the classical period to the rromantic
It comes in at the end of Beethoven's 9th.

the 9th symphony
His 9th
It's either has to be the 9th Symphony or the Symphony No. 4 ... unlikely to be both.
Yes.
It comes in at the end of Beethoven's 9th.
Perhaps his most know composition is the 5th symphony. But perhaps his greatest work was the 9th symphony because of quality, amount of notes and time and the fact he was death. On the 9th debut, he directed the orchestra being fully death and he had to be signaled to turn around. When he saw the standing ovation he wept deeply.Ode to Joy (IMO)
Beethoven's Symphony no. 9 in D Minor is also known as the "Choral Symphony" because it was the first to incorporate voice as one of the instruments.
