Only Bill Gate himself can answer this question accurately.
But I think the basic idea was making money by selling software.
Bill Gates actually did create those things. it was created as a way to compete with Apple and Netscape, respectively.
Bill Gates did not make up the name Microsoft Word. It was one of his colleagues who thought of it. They had come up with the Word Processing program and one of his colleagues said "Well why don't we name it Microsoft Word?" Gates liked this idea because before Microsoft was not a well known company. This name would accurately tell what it was and help make their company more popular and known throughout the world.

I have a idea to improve the cell phone
Bill Gates earned his wealth by founding and running Microsoft Corporation and developing Windows and other software. He created something every one could use, and in these times - NEED. Great idea = marketable product = worldwide sales = money = WEALTH
Steve & Bill did work together, after they made DOS they decided to make a more user freindly GUI(pronounced Guwee)which is a Graphics User Interface. They played with the idea around then put the first windows out on the line, Steve resigned as co-founder of Microsoft shortly after due to health issues. They reason they called it windows was because of the idea of multiple user panes, that were evetually dubed windows. but in short, YES, it was his idea. But Steve did alot of the programing and mananging for it in the beginning.
Alot of thing like you have no idea!
no he has not.all he did was tell his team.i want to design a console.they did make it for him.he took all the credit.not doing it for the money but to build a bigger reputation across the world.
Steve Jobs (Apple) & Bill Gates (MS) Stole Xerox`s idea. Basically Microsoft and Windows were based on an idea he stole from Xerox. Steve Jobs (Apple) & Bill Gates (MS) were together initially. Though my idea is better than URs occured and they went their separate ways. With their own independent companies (MS & apple)
Not much, because if its not one humans idea , it would've been another. Human mind is greater then the seas , and if Bill gates werent the inventor of microsoft, someone else would have arose with the idea, and would've been the bill gate of today, just with another name !
because people seemed to be biased toward apple or biased against microsoft, People seem to believe that Microsoft stole the idea of a GUI (Windows, menus, mouse, etc...) from apple and accuse Microsoft (and thus Bill Gates) of being a theif However, the GUI as we know it (windows, menus and a mouse) was not invented by Apple or Microsoft, but by the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates both toured it and went back and developed there own version, with Apple releasing a product first, Microsoft also struck a deal with Apple that licensed some of apple ideas, which licensing is not stealing. There was that time when Microsoft was sued by Digital Research, it was proved that PC-DOS was a CP/M clone
Around 1980, Microsoft was a small software company that signed a deal with with computer giant IBM to develop the disc operating system for the new IBM PC. The software was to be known as PC-DOS (personal computer disc operating system). Included in the deal was permission for Microsoft to sell virtually the same product under their own name of MS-DOS. Very soon after the PC was released by IBM, other companies began to clone the IBM and so the start of the PC industry was triggered. Although there were other operating systems that would run the new IBM clones, MS-DOS was seen as the fully compatible one to use. From a tiny software house, Microsoft was launched into huge organization that it is today.
