Chaplin directed the film, his daughter Geraldine Chaplin may have acted in it. the screenplay is something of a rehash of the Lost Daughter of Czarist Russia, Comrade, and this is unusual as Chaplin was accused of being a Communist in real life! and as such, would have favored the Red side over the White. Oh well, Ladies first!
