Church history is found in the Book of Acts. Basically, it grew from scattered meetings in houses or other places, into a more formal structure (see Acts 14:27). It was generally called the 'Church of God' in about a dozen places (see Acts 20:28) and if in a specific location like the 'Church of God @ Jerusalem or Corinth (see 1 Corinthians 1:2).

The Christianity of the western part of the Roman Empire was originally called Western or Latin Christianity. Later it came to be called the Catholicism.
Jesus Christ is the founder of Christianity, so it began with him. He was born in Bethlehem of Judea in Israel. The coming of Jesus Christ as the Messiah who would save the world from their sins was first told by God himself when Adam and Eve first sinned in the Garden of Eden. Christians were first called "Christians" in Antioch, but Antioch wasn't the the place where Christianity first began. It was already well under way.
