Seeing as that was over a hundred years ago, who do think is going to answer. Before Imperialism they had no written history.
It sucked.
Indonesia was known as spice island in the imperialism days. But now, we can still call it spice island.
a country. and still is.
Mostly it affects the economic side. What with the debt they left us, Indonesia is still working hard to pay all debts. Second is the education. Imperialism planted in the people's mind that education is not important. The most important thing is how to produce more and more spices in order to be paid. But now education is a priority. The government of Indonesia has made sure of that.
It didn't. Imperialism and capitalism had been around for centuries before industrialisation.
