Jacques Mesrine was famous for his violent criminal exploits which occurred in France from the early 1960's until his violent death at the hands of the police in 1979. His criminal resume included burglaries, kidnappings, bank robberies and even criminal homicide. In addition to his criminal resume, Mesrine was a master of disguise, eluding the capture for over a decade and gaining the nickname "The Man of a Thousand Faces." He commonly appeared with beautiful women at his side and was somewhat of a modern folk tale.
