King Charles Vii (the seventh) of France. It is intersting to note that France had Two Queens, one a Queen Mother at the time of Joan of Arc. There WA sonly one regnant King, however, and that is Charles Vii. the memory jogger is that the word Charles itself has seven letters! There is some evidence that Joan named her Horse in his HOnor, which He may not of approved, of she used the diminutive (Charlie) Chalrie was a Black steed. Various types of Horse Armor were used in this period as well as decorative banner/blankets with the French Blue color.

Charles VI of France was the King of France during Joan of Arc's childhood, but Charles VII of France was king for the period of time she became famous in (Charles VII is probably the answer you're most looking for).
