John Logie Baird is often called the "Father of Television"
Baird was a talented Scottish inventor. In March 1925 he demonstrated his fully working television system to the public in London. He had spent years working on the electronic delivery of moving images and was the first in the world to achieve it.
He kept working on television technology and in 1929 the BBC adopted his television system and began broadcasting the world's first television service. Even before the BBC began their broadcasts, Baird had demonstrated a color version of his television system and even had 3D television working. He spent the 1930s working on improvements to television standards. His work during his later years provided numerous televisions methods and guidelines that are still in use today.
