Under their previous name of SchlumbergerSema, they were fined for paying bonuses to GP's who declared claimants fit and able.The amount of bonus paid to ATOS Healthcare relating to how many people are declared fit for work is a matter for much contention as the Government will not release that section of the Tender contract, despite repeated FOI requests.Given that Both CH4 Dispatches and BBC Panorama independently found that assessors are instructed to stay within a 12% limit for allowing claimants. One can only assume that on the balance of probabilities that the Bonuses built into this contract are quite a sizeable incentive.
