In World of Warcraft, Druids are guardians of nature, protectors of life and the natural world. Currently, only Night Elves and Tauren can become Druids, as they have the closest bond with the wild. In Cataclysm, Worgen and Trolls will also have the ability to become Druids.
Druids are divided in a few orders, some of which are:
Druids of the Talon are officially the ones who can assume Flight Form, but it takes little imagination to add the Wildkin form of Balance Druids here as well. They are the scouts and skirmishers, but also guardians of ecosystems and often patrol large tracts of land.
Druids of the Claw are the warriors of the Druids, guardians of wildlife and the Groves. They focus on physical prowess, and the Bear, Cat, Sea Lion and Cheetah forms are remeniscent of this.
Druids of the Grove are the protectors and healers of the Druids, and their focus is the form of Tree of Life. They are in tune with the flows of life and death, and are capable of raising fallen trees and growing whole patches of forest with their magic.
