blue whale
The dolphin mammal breaths air through it's blowhole at the top of it's head.
A whale is a mammal because they have some hair.
The Orca is an air breathing aquatic mammal, and does have lungs.
No dolphins breath with their blowhole that they have on top of their head.
Whales, dolphins and porpoises have a blowhole, (or nostrils), on top of their head so they can breathe in and out when they are on the surface of the water. Since they are the only mammals that spend their entire lives in the water, and much of it underneath the surface, they are the only mammals to have a blowhole on top of their head. Most mammals have their nostrils in the front of their face, similar to human beings.
On top of the head.
above its head
an opening area on top of head for breathing
Through their blowhole, which is a nostril on the top of their head.
whales and dolphins :)
Back then the whale's blowhole was towards its nose. Over the years as the whale has changed its blowhole has slowly gone backwards. Now, its blowhole is at the back of his head. For more information go to YouTube and watch Expedition 4 of "The Voyage of The Mimi."
It is a mammal because of the blowhole on it's head. Amphibians do not have blowholes. Even though dolphins are aquatic they are mammals because they breathe air. Dolphins cannot breathe underwater or they will drown. Mothers help newborn dolphins to the surface so they can breathe. Everything that is aquatic or breathes air ONLY is a mammal.
