Currently you can find the Images 1923-1974 Moonrise in ok condition for $225 now this has slight rippling and minor discoloration. Now the original prints run $20,000 to $50,000. First run prints are deluxe lithographic posters by Ansel Adams. Three images were published in the early 1980s in an edition of 350. These lithographs were published by the New York Graphic Society as a way to market a fine, signed Ansel Adams product that was affordable for most people. It was an extremely difficult project with multiple delays, changes and re-printings. The printed image was intended to be almost indistinguishable from an original photograph and was printed on a heavy stock of paper. It was then dry mounted and embossed onto a special handmade paper, similar to thick drawing paper. The paper features a custom AA watermark and has deckled edges. Ansel Adams then approved, signed and numbered each print. Later another set of three images was printed, but Mr. Adams died before he could sign any of them. The size of the Moonrise image is 15 x 18½ inches; The full size of each piece is 36 x 25 inches.
