The Nazis claimed that the Jews were actively encouraging cultural and moral decline and homosexuality and Hitler also used the Jews as a scapegoat to blame for Germany's defeat in World War 1 and for Germany economic problems, especially the Great Depression.
The Jews were viewed by Hitler as racially inferior. He wanted to create a "master race." In that there would be no room for "undesirables"
Basically it was all just antisemitism .
