Rabaul was ancient history by the time the B-29's came on line. Superforts didn't commence operations in the Pacific until '44; Rabaul was left behind in '43. Next problem; neither the Japanese fighters nor the Superforts would've had the fuel to make such a flight. Rabaul's south of the equator.
