The difference between the civil war camps compared to the army camps today was technology. The intelligence and the types of weapons used are some of the differences.

eithics are for photojournalist today commpared to civil war
There are concentration camps today (in North Korea).
How is your society different today because of civil war
more reliant on the patronage system to select employees
Yes, concentration camps are still used today in some parts of the world, such as in China where Uighur Muslims are detained in internment camps. These camps have drawn international condemnation for their human rights abuses and violations.
i guess it was the first person to read the newspaper on 22nd March 1933. the camps were not a secret, it was what was happening inside the camps that was the secret. A better question would be when did certain things start to happen inside the camps, but then you are entering a moral minefield as different people will think that different methods are appropriate and you would also be making a moral judgment on what happens in the camps today. Or you could ask when the camps changed to a policy of murder rather than punishment and rehabilitation.
compared to today, the world used to have 50% more forests compared to today, the world used to have 50% more forests
There are no concentration camps today. There are still many people in the world who are suffering for various reasons, and there are many refugees in refugee camps, but there are no concentration camps.

Today could be a lot different. There might still be slavery, there might still be a lot of things that were stopped, and there might not be a lot of things that were created by civil rights activists.
