World War 1 was fought in many different ways. one of them is called trench warfare where the soldiers would dig miles of trenches and they would stay in them and fight. the trenches were also surrounded by barbed wire. New weapons used was the tank, which was introduced by Great Britain and the machine gun which was introduced by the German's. both sides also used planes. they would use planes to spy on the other sides location and to drop bombs on people and they had guns on the planes to shoot at other planes. when two planes fight in the air that's called a dog fight. the British had excellent battleships and the German's had excellent submarines called U-Boats. hope this helped!!
