I have always imagined that going on pilgrimage to Canterbury must have been quite fun. It had all of the advantages of a modern vacation, and also had the added benefit of being good for the soul, which made it possible to have a good time and be completely free of regrets.
There is probably very little in the Middle Ages that is better described, even though the description was fiction, because it was one of the greatest literary pieces of the English language, and was written by a man who did it. So read the Canterbury Tales if you want to know all about it. Or, if you don't have the time for that, read an article on the Canterbury Tales.

(I almost never advocate using fiction to find out what reality was, but this one case is different. And it is also fun.)
There were no concentration camps in Britain. There's some confusion here.
Britain
life was like hard for people who was ruled by Britain because they have to pay for the stamp called the stamp act and no one liked it
Nowadays Ireland and Britain are not great adversaries. There are good relations between them. Many Irish people live and work in Britain and there are many British people living and working in Ireland. In the past, as Britain was a colonial power and Ireland was under British rule, naturally there would be different kind of relations between the two countries. Nowadays they work together on lots of things, like politics for example. It is only when it comes to things like sport that they are now adversaries.

The life of the people on the pilgrimages can be defined as religious. People went on the pilgrimages in order to pray.

No. A pilgrimage is for anyone. Pilgrims go to special places. Some places are associated with sick people, like Lourdes, but some pilgrimages can be to special places that don't have a particular association with the sick, like Rome or Bethlehem. Even for places like Lourdes, most of the people who go on pilgrimages there are not seriously ill.
they want to see what things were like in bible times and what they were like
they are scattered every where like on routes and some people will give them to you

It was all based around trade: protecting trade routes and links in order to have the best economy possible. It was not planned it just evolved like that.
Spiritual pilgrimage involves visiting sites with strong spiritual history like mecca, Isreal. People also embark on health pilgrimage for health reasons.
People go on pilgrimages to places likeLourdes where a vast number of miracles have taken place to people who maybe could not walk or could not talk and some of them were healed. Also people go to places like Rome to see the pope in the Vatican city and to pray in St. Peter's Basilica with or without the pope. Some people think that "WHERE" do people go on pilgrimages is the same as "WHY" do they but i don't think so and this is why i have put this up here to give people idea's who have the same perspective
