Squanto hunted and fished and grew crops. He survived. He learned English. He helped others. He lived his whole life as an Indian.

He eventually returned to North America and helped the Pilgrims survive by teaching them how to farm and fish. Squanto's life experiences exposed him to different cultures and helped him bridge the gap between the Pilgrims and the Native American tribes.
