In the Shakespearean times women were not considered proper people. It was a very hard time for women as they had no right at all. No political rights, no religious right, no educational rights, absolutely nothing. They had to obey their man. Men and other upper class citizens only saw women as being house wives and mothers, nothing more.

∙ 9y agoDuring the years that William Shakespeare worked as a playwright people began moving from the country to the cities. Going to the theater became a very popular form of entertainment for people because it was cheap. There were big outbreaks of the plague and many people died. There were more jobs because the population suffered so much because of the plague. Education opportunities grew as more schools and college were built during this time.

∙ 9y agoLife was not equal in William Shakespeare's time: rich people lived a life of luxury, but poor people live a life of pain and discomfort. Rich people had huge houses, more like mansions, good expensive clothes, and expensive food. However, poor people were either on the streets or had a very small houses, homemade clothes, and simple food.In all these respects life was very similar to life these days.
