On September 11, 2001 the twin towers were crashed into by two planes. The main hijacker was Mohammad Atta. He is the one that planned the attack and carried his plan out. They believe that the fourth plane was going to probably crash into the white house or the capital and destroy it, but the people on the plane took over and crashed it into a field in Pennsylvania.
