lots of things were buried with rich mummies & Pharaohs. if the Pharaoh had a pet, they would be killed and mummified to go with the mummy, there were food, drink, and many valuable treasures that were made special just for the mummy. the mummy makers also put special charms in the mummies linen cloth so they would ward away evil spirits. when the mummy makers took out all of the organs (not the heart, this was needed to go into the afterlife) they put the organs in special jars, and put them in a special container that went with the mummy and into the tomb. also, when the mummy was prepared for its afterlife, its body was dries out, filled with spices, and was wrapped in linen bandages (if the person was not as wealthy, they ripped up their clothes into strips, or used leftover pieces of linen from other mummies.
