The Stamp Act
Yes, the Stamp Act of 1765 ended. The act was repealed when Parliament finally gave in to the colonists riots. The same day the Stamp Act was repealed, Parliament passed the Declaratory Act.
Declaratory Act
On March 18, 1766, Parliament repealed the Stamp Act. Unfortunately, the same day, they passed the Declaratory Act, giving themselves the right to make laws for the colonies on every matter.
The Stamp Act Congress convened in New York in October 1765. The colonists were able to persuade Parliament to repeal the Stamp Act, but on that same day, Parliament also passed the Declaratory Act. This act proclaimed Parliament's ability "to bind the colonies in all cases whatsoever." The message was clear: Under no circumstances could Parliament abandon in principle its right to legislate for the 13 colonies. This right included taxation. This act allowed Britian to govern and bind the colonies whenever and for what ever they wanted, without any repercussions. When this was passed the colonialists became more angry and resistent toward England.

American activists sprang into action. Some created secret societies called the Sons of Liberty. James Otis suggested an intercolonial congress be formed to agree on a united course of action. Prohibition act
Jefferson repealed the Judiciary Act of 1801 once he was in office, because it reduced the number of Supreme Court justices from six to five, and limited Jefferson's ability to make Republican appointments. The act, created by Adams on his last day in office, also created a new system of circuit courts, with the judges appointed for life. Congress repealed the act, doing away with Adam's midnight appointees.

The Stamp Act was created in 1765, mandated the use fo stamped paper or the affixing of stamps, certify payment of tax. On the day in 1765 when the new act was to go into effect, the stamp agents had all been forced to resign, and there was noone to sell the stamps. After a stormy debate, Parliament in 1766 grudgingly repealed the Stamp Act.
The British factory act limited the working hours of children and women to a maximum of 10 hours per day. The act was passed in 1847.
