During a 71 day period beginning on August 31, 1888 until November 09, 1888 a total of five unsolved murders occurred within the Whitechapel section of London under night conditions. The victims were all female. The murderer was never caught, furthermore he was never identified. This means that noone know the limitations that the ripper had.

Everybody seems to have their own favorite suspect as Jack the Ripper. There has never been a shortage of suspects or opinions on the identity of this notorious killer. I have studied the crimes of the Ripper and read many books on this subject including modern investigations using 21st century investigative tools and my opinion is that Walter Sickert was the Ripper. There is DNA evidence that links letters of Sickert's to some of the Ripper letters. This is but one example of the many "coincidences" that ties Sickert to the Ripper crimes.

It's no more unlikely than some of the Ripper theories.
Jack The Ripper's MO (modus operandi) was cutting the throats of his victims and then mutilating them, and in some victims he took internal organs.
While 100s of letters claiming to be from Jack the Ripper were given to the authorities, we don't know that any of them were actually written by Jack the Ripper. Some letters are signed "Jack the Ripper," some are signed "Leather Apron" (which is what the murderer was often called before the name "Jack the Ripper" became popular), one is signed "Catch me when you can Mishter Lusk".....On and on and on.In short, no one knows which, if any, was the real signature. There is a book of these letters available if you would like to learn more. It includes transcripts and pictures.
Jack the Ripper, sliced his victims open and removed some of the their internal organs, he literally 'ripped' his victims apart.
no one knows cos he was never caught all we know is , he was called Jack the Ripper. There is possibilty that Jack had a normal life like some notorious serial killers. On the other hand, he could be a loner like Jeffrey Dahmer.
The Jack the Ripper deaths occurred in 1888. There is some uncertainty about which murder victims at the time died at the hands of Jack the Ripper, but he is thought to have killed at least three women: Mary Ann Nichols (31st August), Annie Chapman (8 September) and Catherine Eddowes (30 September).
Although it is a popular miconception that Jack The Ripper's crimes started with the death of Maryann (Polly) Nichols most experts agree that the murder of a propstitute named Martha Tabram in the earlier summer was also committed by the Ripper. There was also a prostitute murdered in March of 1888 that some feel was also the Ripper.

Francis Tumblety was an Irish-American (1833-1903) that has surfaced in at least one book to be a Ripper suspect. Tumblety was allegded to have been in London during at least some of the murders. But other than that, there has never been any evidence that he was Jack The Ripper. There was the rumor that Tumblety was homosexual, a rumor with some merit. The Whitechapel murders was undoubtedly the work of a hetosexual man. Gay men usually kill other gay men, so we can probably eliminate him from the suspect list.
