Wen Jesus asked peter who he was ? Peter boldly said youarethe Messiah the son of the living God.
Ask Jesus Christ!
Why don't you ask Jesus
Jesus told Peter that you are the rock, on this rock I will build my church.A New Testament perspective:Jesus used "rock" as in "foundation," and the foundation of the church springs from the profound truth confessed by Peter: "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."(Matthew 16:16).However, this truth alone is not the rock either. The true foundation upon which Jesus built His church is a reciprocal covenant between Himself and believers, which calls for action based upon faith in that truth. Look at what Jesus taught in Matthew 10:32:"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven."Then look again at the exchange between Peter and Jesus:Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.""And I also say to you that you are Peter..."(Matt 16:18a)Peter confessed Jesus, and Jesus confessed Peter in return. THEN Jesus said, "...and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." (Matt. 16:18b)The rock was definitely not Peter. His later role in the church makes it clear that he was not the leader, but a leader; one of many Spirit-filled men who saw to the oversight of the early church.Nor is the rock that "great truth" alone, but also what one DOES regarding that truth. It's vital to remember that Jesus' church is not an "earthly institution." The church is a group of people; a spiritual body of believers, each and every one of whom have individually entered into that covenant relationship; confessing Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, and having done so, gaining the right to become a member of that body...because Jesus has confessed (acknowledged) them before God.John 1:12, 13 - But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.[Quotes from NKJV]
Jesus said for him to watch and pray.
Christ said If you ask anything in my (Jesus Christ's) name it will be granted. However, this doesn't mean you get to ask for anything that violates his will.
Why dint you just ask him??? DUHHH
You will have to ask her that on the last day when Jesus returns.
I think you are assuming that she did not ask for forgiveness. Just because the bible does not record her repentance does not mean she did not ask. Jesus can not forgive unless we come to him and request forgiveness. Please look at Peter and how he denied Christ. Peter surely repented and yet the bible does not record him kneeling in prayer and begging for the pardon of God.
The way to get to heaven is to ask Jesus Christ into your heart!
