Regular people have German Shepherds as domesticated pets or watch dogs while Police officers in the K9 unit keep male German Shepherds as police dogs. They do not use female German Shepherds in the K9 police dog force because they will always protect their own and sometimes disobey to protect their young/owners ect. :) Amazing animals!!
